HEROIC SPACE OPERA FOR THE 5TH EDITION

We Miska Fredman and Hans Zenjuga, and we are creating a 5E compatible science fiction supplements and adventures
. This material will be based on the  5th Edition System Reference Document published under the Open Gaming License and it is compatible with all the other games using the same rules as the fifth edition of the world's most popular fantasy role-playing game.

We will use our original space opera setting Hyperstorm, as a foundation for the material, but most of the releases will be easy to adapt to any other setting using the basic concepts of space opera or soft science fiction, like faster-than-light travel, power armors, cybernetics, AIs, aliens and such.

Our goal is to release supplements and extra content containing 5th Edition compatible rules material and Hyperstorm setting material such as adventures, new classes and species, new backgrounds and feats, nee equipment, sci-fi specific rules, new monsters and such. We also plan to collect an online patron-only wiki with all the rules (details about this will be announced at a later phase.)

The exact format and contents of each release depend on the selected reward tier. See the details for the Tiers on the sidebar.

A release typically comprises of an adventure, a single class, a species (with sub-species), a set of backgrounds or feats, a collection of equipment, rules for certain situations or activities, or a set of minor creatures or a single major creature.

We plan to make collections of these releases at later phase. These collections will be more like sourcebooks built around certain topics like the setting, species, equipment, etc. They will be available in PDF format, but also as print-on-demand books.

ENTER THE HYPERSTORM

Hyperstorm
is a space opera setting with pulse blasters, aliens, psychic powers, and mysterious ancient artifacts and ruins. The core idea of this game concept is to transfer the well-tested idea of dungeon crawling into outer space and heroic 5th Edition rules. Instead of dungeons, the adventurers, also known as rifters, will be exploring anything from crash-landed spaceships to mysterious alien ruins, and megacorp research stations.

These places are more often than not dangerous places, with terrible creatures, clever traps and other dangers such as leaking reactors, rogue nano-swarms or weird dimensional anomalies waiting for the hapless explorer. But, the adventures do not have to be just scavenging wrecks and old ruins for loot. Depending on what you want to make of it, the adventures can be a straightforward blast & slash "wreck-crawl", or the characters can get entangled in galactic conspiracies older than humanity itself, or take sides in the on-going conflicts between different factions fighting over the control of Pandora Cluster.
