Super Stylus!
I work with a drawing tablet for pretty much everything I do and, well, that thing has certainly seen some better days. With it's glory era long in the past, the stylus seems to want to work about 50% of the time and sometimes it couldn't pick a worse point to take a nap. With your help, I can upgrade to a new type of workflow and replace my busted Wacom with something new and awesome!

We can talk movies, pasta sauces, sharks, favourite colour, or strange sleeping habits - Maybe I'll even draw something!
Super-Size!
Here's the milestone we all really want to see pass, myself included. At this rate, I can officially make Huge Hana my absolute primary priority for illustration work and go from four consecutive page updates a month to EIGHT PAGES a month! This means you get twice as much story, twice as fast. Making comics for a living - literally. For me, this is what the Patreon campaign is really all about - ensuring that I can devote 100% of my time to Huge Hana and deliver a solid, awesome adventure twice a week, each and every month.

At this rate, I can comfortably afford to travel to a multitude of conventions all over and share Huge Hana with everyone! I'd love to be able to connect with people and fans face to face, offer a bunch of cool take-away convention merchandise, and best of all do live drawings for people!

Now this would be awesome. At this rate, I can afford to purchase a large format at-home printer. Check this baby out right here. This would allow me to print BIG posters and prints and other cool rewards and perks without paying the middle man. I can print what I want, when I want. I love making posters, and it'd be great to offer a HUGE selection of large-scale designs (We're taking like, 44 inches here, pretty awesome) to all of you to pick from and enjoy.

Think of it like the moment you peeled that protective yet oh-so ugly plastic sheet off the screen of your new phone. You took a deep breath, got it over with, and it looked so much better, didn't it? Oh lord, one can only dream.

Ian Burns is a film maker, designer and illustrator based in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
As a film maker, he has written, directed and produced a growing selection of films and multimedia productions that have played in film festivals all across North America and network television.
As a designer, he has created and developed a vast range of award-winning projects and products, from children's toys to clothing apparel, which have been sold in over 50 countries around the world.
As an illustrator, he has created works for various print studios, publications, galleries and media.

Created in early 2014, Huge Hana (www.hugehana.com) began as an ambitious webcomic - an unfolding adventure of massive proportions that has already been supported by an amazing gang of dedicated readers.
But now, it's time for Huge Hana to really grow up. Collecting the first year of stories, as well as 50+ brand new pages, Huge Hana: Volume One will be released as a big, beautiful printed book later this year.
Huge Hana chronicles the rise of Hana Masterson, a troubled soul mysteriously transformed into a giant being of unimaginable power. Struggling with her newfound size, forced to flee from a world who deems her a monster, Hana will soon need to confront the very same dark power that transformed her, band with an unlikely group of allies and face her destiny as earth's only hope against an unspeakable evil and seemingly unstoppable reign of terror.
What started out as a simple passion project - something fun and exciting I could work on with my limited free time and pour my absolute heart and soul into has now become (warning: size puns) something I believe could really rise to the highest level of awesomeness. But in order do so, I first need the time and freedom - and most importantly, your help.
If you become a Patron of Huge Hana (glorious fanfare erupts!), you will grant me the ever-so-needed breathing room I require to - first and foremost - keep Huge Hana a reality and focus on making the comic as spectacular as possible. This means maintaining high quality bold and exciting artwork, pushing a rich, dense story and - most importantly - creating a book that is truly worth your time. On top of that, the more support Huge Hana receives, the more I can give back to the community in a plethora of cool ways.
Look, Huge Hana is all about everything BIG - So that means big rewards and perks for its patrons! At the very minimum, any and all Patrons registered at the time of the book's completion will receive a copy of the book for free.
You'll also be granted complete behind-the-scenes access to the creation of the book, including page previews, sketches and tests, character and costume designs, live feeds and more!
Patrons also qualify for huge full colour illustrated posters, cool original prints and artwork excerpts, sketches, commissioned drawings - and much more! This will all be 100% exclusive content created specifically for you, the patrons. Check out the milestones and reward sections below for more information!
