About Ice & Fire Con

Ice & Fire Con is an annual convention themed around George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series and HBO’s Game of Thrones. It is the premiere event of its kind in the United States, and is a completely fan-run, non-profit convention where you can spend a weekend participating in activities that are themed solely around A Song of Ice and Fire/Game of Thrones.

Ice & Fire Con was founded in September 2012 by three fans who lamented the lack of ASoIaF/GoT programming at mainstream conventions. The first Convention of Ice and Fire was held in April 2013 at Ravenwood Castle in New Plymouth, Ohio, and it was such a success that it became an annual event.

The convention grew steadily in its first three years, so for our fourth year (2016) we relocated to Mountain Lake Lodge in Pembroke, Virginia. After two years at Mountain Lake, we outgrew that location as well, so for 2018 we moved back to Ohio. We had to go virtual for 2020 and 2021, but we are returning to Deer Creek April 21-24, 2022!

Ice & Fire Con is an event for those age 18 and up.
Goals
$215.49 of $500 per month
If we can raise $500 a month in patronage, this will allow us to accomplish the aforementioned goals as well as to book programming guests, upgrade equipment, and put deposits down for future Ice & Fire Cons, which will keep these necessary costs from leading to higher ticket prices.
