Raechel Henderson

Hello!  I am a dual class seamstress / shieldmaiden. I am also a writer and my first book, Sew Witchy, Tools, Techniques, and Projects for Sewing Magick, is now out from Llewellyn. I write about magick, creativity, living life by one's own life patterns, my family and dealing with mental health issues.

I have sewn professionally since 2008. Over the years I've traveled around the Midwest region selling handmade bags, skirts, coats and accessories at various events and conventions. Arachne hangs out in the window of my workshop reminding me to check the tension on the sewing machines. 

I will be posting three times a month about sewing, writing and magick. I will also be posting writing updates, random research facts, and magical weirdness.  And I'll be presenting a craft each week with instructions, patterns, tutorials and more to show supporters how to make things themselves.  I want to show people that anyone can sew and that sewing can be magical in both the literal and figurative sense.  I'd like you to join me in that journey.
