I Heart Guitar is creating a podcast

Hey! I'm Peter Hodgson and I've been a music journalist for over 20 years, specialising in guitar. In 2008 I started the I Heart Guitar blog, and the support from my readers over the years has meant so much to me. It's seriously changed my life. And I thought it was time to bring things to the next level with a podcast, which launched on October 10, 2018. Now, writing the blog and recording and editing the podcast takes a lot of time, so I'm starting a Patreon to help out so I can devote more time to writing and podcasting and less time taking every tiny little freelance opportunity that comes my way to scrape together a living. Every cent you contribute helps with things like podcast and web hosting fees, recording equipment, coffee to keep me going, etc, and allows me to focus on I Heart Guitar instead of other writing work that keeps me from generating that sweet sweet guitar content.

I couldn't have done this for the last 10 years without you, and I hope you dig the podcast and that it adds something fun and positive to your day.
Tiers
Have A Buck
$1 or more per month
Every dollar helps (ask any other freelancer, seriously), so if you'd like to kick in a buck a month to show your appreciation for the site and podcast, I will be forever grateful, and will give you a shout-out on the podcast and on social media.
Exclusive Weekly Bonus Podcast
$3 or more per month
This tier gives you access to a special exclusive podcast RSS feed that you can add to your podcast catcher of choice. What will it contain? Interviews, guitar noodling, songs, chats with guests... basically I'm keeping the main podcast pretty tight in terms of 'three segments' in an hour, but the bonus podcast is an opportunity to do all sorts of fun things that could be as short as five minutes or as long as a couple of hours.
Goals
9 of 100 patrons
When I reach 100 patrons, I'll live-stream a full performance of songs from my forthcoming album. Oh yeah, I'm recording an album too. It's almost done and it's called Synesthesia and I hope you dig it.
