We love going to game events and festivals to show our games, find new friends and to chase chances. As indie devs we don't have a lot of money and spending it on expensive accommodation hurts.

Time for a solution! Our idea: Open up a platform for developers to offer their couches to each other during events for free. A platform that lets you meet fellow people from the games industry and makes it even easier to connect with each other.

The team working on indiecouch.org has a broad experience in the game industry and visited countless events all over the world. We understand our audience since we have a background in developing, journalism, marketing and art design. Last but not least we just love video games.

In November 2015 we launched our pre-Alpha Version of the website specifically designed for the Ludicious Game Festival. This is merely a proof of concept and not representative for what we have in mind for the final product.

indiecouch.org will be centered around game exhibitions from all over the world and make it easy for you to find what you need. We got big plans and hopefully the site will grow to become the place to be for anyone attending these events.

But not only that, people from the industry are currently splintered all over the internet and we want to bring you closer together, offering a platform designed for your needs from people who want the same. This was the reason why we started this project, we could not find what we were looking for.

With Patreon we first of all hope the cover the running costs of the website. There is a lot of development involved in the background since we are building the website from the ground up. To fasten things up and give you the platform you need as soon as possible we would like to work full-time on it which, at the moment, is just not possible. Help us to make something great and all our lifes a little bit easier.

Sincerly,
indiecouch.org team
