In case you didn’t already know, Insights to English shares our unique grammar methods with other English teachers. Our methods go beyond book standards to better connect with students with different learning styles, making grammar easier to understand and remember. We do this through videos and other resources, some of which are exclusive to our Insiders.

To learn more about us, visit our website, perhaps beginning with our About Videos page.

We seek to improve English education all across the globe, but we can’t do it alone. Our videos aren’t free to produce, but we do want them to be free to watch. So instead of selling them, we rely on the support of educators who have a few bucks to spare. The more support we have, the more time and energy we can put into our resources. That means:

And they’re all for the benefit of teachers, which in turn means they can benefit students everywhere! But that’s only possible through the support of patrons.

When you become a patron, you not only partner with us to aid teachers around the world, but you also get rewards!  In joining the Insights INSIDER community, you get access to exclusive resources:

  • go beyond the videos with their corresponding printouts, slideshows, bonus notes, or extended cuts;
  • or explore more of how English works with our grammar podcast, sneak-peaks into our books, and Q&As.

The more you give, the more you get!  We release more resources in to each category at least once a month, so you also get more stuff the longer you partner with us!  Yay, stuff!

Oh, and you support improved education.  That's good, too.

Why don't you just charge money for your videos?
Knowledge should be shared freely.  The point of Insights isn't to make money, but to support quality education.

What would you do with my money?
First, cover my own living expenses, which means I wouldn't have to work another job one we reach a certain amount; the more time and effort I can put into Insights, the better.  Next, I would hire more people who can make our material even better and so that we can put out even more resources.

How much money are you asking for?
It's not about an amount for me.  Contribute whatever you feel comfortable with (or whichever reward tier most appeals to you).  I don't want a lot of money from a few people, but rather a small amount from thousands of Insiders.  I'm not kidding when I say you'll have my eternal gratitude at just $1/month.

How exactly does Patreon work?

I'll let them answer that for themselves. Check out www.patreon.com/about.

What if I don't have the financial means to become an Insider?
Not everyone does, and that's okay; you still get our grammar videos and most of our articles for free.  If you do become an Insider though, you're helping Insights make more content for those who aren't Insiders.  (Plus, you get exclusive content!)

How do I choose which tier to do?
The titles of each tier are just titles; you don't have to be an actual teacher to join the $2-tier or be interested in linguistics to join the $10-tier.  Choose based on how much you would like to contribute to our mission.  Or choose based on the rewards you'd get.

Does it have to be in US Dollars?

No.  It'll be converted into USD, but on your end you can use whatever currency you want.

Goals
$58 of $1,000 per month
A thousand dollars is a nice starting goal.  At this point, I'll use some of these funds to get featured at a few educational conferences.  If you attend any of those conferences as well, you'll get something out of it as well!

I'll also start making content tailored for teachers of native English speakers.
