Weekly Blog Posts
Every episode of the podcast will be accompanied by a visual companion, or a written essay, or both!
Bi-Monthly Special Episodes
Every two months, I'll release a bonus episode with a different format than the weekly shows. And the first one will be a commentary track for the Speed Racer movie with special guest Rachel Edidin!
Written Media Reviews
In addition to the weekly posts to accompany the episodes, the INTO IT blog will begin hosting written reviews of current movies, tv shows, and music on a weekly basis.
Weekly Comics Roundup
Since so many listeners are as into comics as I am, I'll start posting weekly non-spoilery capsule reviews of the latest comics releases on the INTO IT blog.
Better Equipment
Pretty self-explanatory. The show sounds better than it did at the beginning, but there's certainly a lot more room for improvement. At this level, I'll be able buy an AMAZING microphone, and anything else I need to make INTO IT sound as good as it possibly can.
Annual Year-End Bonus Episode
In addition to the bi-monthly bonus episodes, I'll release a year-end episode every year, with "Best of" lists, multiple guests, and some surprises.
Original Theme Music
My current theme music is fun, but it would be even more awesome to have an original song that describes the show's premise. At this level, I'll commission someone to make that happen.
Weekly Episode Art
Instead of just a photo of the topic with the logo overlaid on it, I'll commission an actual artist to draw an original picture to accompany each episode.

INTO IT is a show about the things people love. In each episode, a guest joins me to talk about something they're way into. We've done episodes about movies, television shows, comics, and musicians. There's also room to cover quirkier topics, like karaoke and classic video games.
Creating the first 30 episodes of this series has been an ongoing learning experience (as it will no doubt continue to be). Through trial and error, I've learned quite a bit about audio production and editing, and I'm confident that my recent episodes sound a thousand times better than the early ones. I would love for INTO IT to continue to evolve into an ever-more professional endeaver. What I don't want to do, however, is sell advertising. With your help, I can strike that balance.
As INTO IT has grown, it has also taken over more and more of my life. The time I used to spend reading and watching whatever I wanted, is now often spent reading and watching whatever my guest wants to discuss next week. And that doesn't bother me; I love doing this show and everything that comes with it. But as a struggling freelance content creator, it would revolutionize my life and my time management if the content I spent the most time creating could start at least paying for itself.
There's one other thing, and I almost hesitate to mention it, because it's not what INTO IT is about. But if you listen to the show (and you must, since you're here), you've picked up that I'm a queer trans femme who doesn't really fit into the gender binary. Among other things, this means that it isn't always easy for me to find traditional employment, which makes raising money for my own projects all the more important. But it also means that when I look around at the podcasting landscape (or for that matter, the entertainment landscape in general), there aren't a lot of voices like mine. And while it's really hard for me to say anything that could be misinterpretated as asking for money on the basis of my identity, it occurs to me that you might be the sort of person who is committed to supporting trans and queer voices, which would mean this aspect of who I am might be important to your decision.
But the most important thing is that I want to produce the best possible podcast for you, my listeners. And even the smallest monthly donation will be a huge help toward that goal.
