I Read Comic Books is a weekly, panel-style podcast about being a comic reader and making comic books better through discussion about the medium, the industry, with fans and with creators.

Each week Mike Rapin gets together with two regular guests to talk about what comics they've been reading, what comics they're excited about in the upcoming week, and a topic or two revolving around comic books in some way. Past topics include: managing a pull list, feminism in comic books, mental health and depression in comics, our favorite colorists, Franco-Belgian comics, the wonders of Manga, and much more.

We make this show because we love it. Every week we want to deliver a top notch show with heart and love for a medium we care about.

Listen to an episode of our show on our website!

Who are you?

I'm Mike Rapin, a comic book fan who loves talking to other people about being a comic fan. I've been reading comic books for over a decade and find myself always learning new and incredible things about comic books and the people who read them--tropes, habits, references, and more.

This podcast started as a place for me to take the real-life conversations I was having with my friends and others online about what books we were reading and what we were excited for every week and everything around comic books, the comic industry, and the joys, trials and complexities of being a comic book fan.

So what's next?

Since we started this podcast, we've had creator interviews (and not interviews) with: Vita Ayala, Kieron Gillen, Alex di Campi, Mags Visaggio and more. We’ve organized multiple zines and extra podcast content. We've attended New York Comic Con and Emerald City Comic and we're still pushing to grow.

We want to continue to make the best podcast about comic books and we want to create even more content about comic books. With our Patreon we've launched dozens of exclusive content just for supporters!

By joining our Patreon community, you'll get early access to episodes, exclusive content (including Book vs. Book episodes, IRCB Movie Club, Saga of Saga, and a few read-along series), zines, stickers, and more!
