I'm keen to develop this mini series, and I'm open to suggestions on any way I can make it a better learning experience. Also, you can message me about any aspect of the music, I love chatting about it! Subscribing gives you access to every new mini-lesson as they are published, and full access to the library of mini-lessons already uploaded. You can download the chord chart and an mp3 of the melody so you can practice at your own pace, even without an internet connection! I plan to publish a lesson very two weeks.

Hi there!
Thanks for checking out my Patreon page. I’m an acoustic guitarist from and living in the west of Ireland. I’ve been playing guitar in Irish music for all of my musical life, since I was 14. I’ve performed in concert with, toured and recorded with lots of top class traditional Irish musicians including legendary Scots/Irish band Boys of The Lough, Christy O’Leary, Alan Kelly, Mairtín O’Connor, Cathal Hayden, Sharon Shannon, Charlie Lennon, Frankie Gavin's De Danann, Randal Bays, Noel Hill, John McSherry, Dermot Byrne and Floriane Blancke, among others. My first book on guitar accompaniment of Irish Music (2000) was the first comprehensive guide on the subject. Volume 2 followed in 2015, and they are now available (on my website) as video courses.
Here I'm offering a series of mini-lessons, as a toe-in-the-water way to check out what I have to offer if you're passionate about playing guitar in the accompaniment of Irish music. I plan to post a mini-lesson twice a month, and all lessons will remain in the library. As a patron, you can download a pdf of the chord sheet/chord windows, and an mp3 of the melody played without accompaniment. Your support means I can continue to produce the lessons, and improve on the teaching methods in this elusive subject! The video above is a sample mini-lesson.
I also offer full on in-depth video courses, you can check them out at
