It’s Just A Show is a podcast companion to Mystery Science Theater 3000. Like MST3K, our project is a labour of love cobbled together by committed DIYers. We don't want our love’s labours lost, so we’ve come to you with hat in hand via Patreon.
All aspects of our artisanal, pod-to-table production—recording, editing, music—take time and care. Your donations won’t just cover hosting and production costs, either! We love researching the weird topics brought up by MST3K, be it from the movies, the host segments, or the riffs in the theatre. We tend to be very thorough. With your support, we’ll continue to tackle tough questions, like:
- How many followers and fansites did “Jesus II”* inspire?
- What happens to Harvey B. Dunn’s finger-stub when it’s hot?
- Does the College of Ice Cream Knowledge have a graduate program?
- Will scientists discover how to transplant a rich white guy’s head onto Rosie Greer’s body?
- Is Man a feeling creature?
We’ve chosen an episode-based subscription model, so you only pay with the release of a new episode every two weeks. We're a local** mom-n-pop*** podcast and no donation is too small. The fact that you’d deign to give us anything at all fills our hearts with gratitude. If five of our listeners donate at the $3 level—the price of one overpriced cup of coffee—our basic web hosting costs are covered. Every extra dollar brings us closer to larger goals like special donor episodes, developing a podcast network, global domination, and more!
Friends, Romans, Patrons...give us your dollars and we’ll give you all sorts of Patreon exclusives. Check out our donor tiers: Bonus content. Shot glasses. You could even CHOOSE OUR NEXT EPISODE.
