André Paz Hey Jack! I did a little test with two mics... I mixed them together, both tracks splited in a high/low track (with 3,5khz cut). The condenser just with eq and panning and the sm57 with tons of compression... The groove was made in a Candombe feeling, a rythm from Uruguay! Glad that you liked...
