Milestone Goals
Get better audio recording gear!
I've got a soft spot for all of this falling-edge and previous-generation recording gear, but it's just not providing the sound quality I'm looking for. If we hit this level, I'll get something nice and portable to make sounds suitable for the hi-fi sets.
Cooking Show
Pre-production for my web series with Orion Canning I Have A Cooking Show, (as promised via twitter) begins in earnest. Orion worked with me to make the weirdo Monsterhearts Second Skins kickstarter video. Currently I've got notes for 3 of the 5 episodes, some locations cemented, etc.
I am SO EXCITED TO DO THIS!!!

Comic Series
I've been talking with Lauren Carney (who did the Launch Day cover) about comic collaboration - she asked me offhandedly who she should talk to about writing an ongoing series for her to illustrate. I replied, "Uh, me, please." Once this goal is met we can start lovingly crafting comic books (we're currently talking about 8-page half-letter pdfs, but much can change) to show you Stop World.
About
I believe that what we do is games and what we are is stories, all of us.
I'm an analog story experience tabletop roleplay and field and etcetera game designer, improvised rock indie doom and collage and found and tape and so on musician, recycle-based and text and paper-types and photo and whatever visual artist, and I like doing new things.
I'm part of the community of game designers and musicians in Olympia, WA, and the wider design community of the Pacific-Northwest/Lower-Mainland, sometimes called Cascadia.

Hi, I'm Jackson Tegu! I make weird, silly, beautiful things: story
games, analog games, songs, concept albums, strange videos, and articles.
But mostly I make games for you to play, and I could use your support
in making more!
Many of my games are small. They're tightly-focused and presented so that they're easy to learn - many are learned as you play, where reading the rules are part of the game!
It's easy to recognize certain threads through my projects - that all people should be treated with respect and dignity, that those affected should be consulted, and that wonder can be found through fruitful juxtaposition and by drawing on what's outside of the frame.
Here are some recent patron-funded projects:
• Glitch Iteration (a freeform larp)
• Jane and Michael Banks' album Salute One Another With A Holy Kiss
• How we are like the storm. (a map game)

Others are linked in the creations tab above, as well as on my site.
So mostly I'll be making games, but some months will also hold other fare - songs, videos, organizational tools, other stuff. As that the various irons in the fire often take more time than expected and then finish several at once, this campaign is set for monthly donations. You can expect my silly fake news show (which discusses what I'm up to) plus 0-2 other completed works of various size each month.
Eventually some works will find homes on other parts of the web, some works will quickly become free for all, collections, print, who knows, all kinds. As a patron, you'll see them first and have them, along with my gratitude.
Via your kind donation, I shall populate the world with treasures!

"Jackson Tegu's passion, compassion, and wide variety of endeavors have
been a blessing to the creative communities of the Pacific Northwest for
many years and have now grown potent enough that they can no longer be
contained by mere geography."
- Jonathan Walton, creator of The Planarch Codex and Metrofinal
"Jackson's games have made my life better. His design ideas are inspiring
and accessible, the sort that bring people closer together through
play. I'm so delighted that he's now putting more of his work out
there."
- Avery Mcdaldno, creator of Monsterhearts and The Quiet Year
"Hopefully you are learning to pay close attention to Jackson Tegu."
- Jason Morningstar, creator of Fiasco and Night Witches
