Hi there! I'm Ashley Davis, otherwise known as oddlookingbird or @stripedbird! For the past five or six years, I've been drawing cute things and putting them on the internet for free. Now, I would like to turn the things I love doing into my full time job!
THE PROJECTS YOU'LL BE SUPPORTING...
Jailbird (an.oddlookingbird.com) is my webcomic. It follows the story of an escaped prisoner, a magic temple, a cursed cape, an exiled coven of witches, a giant duck, and a dying world. It's a very laid back journey comic with a focus on learning about the universe the story takes place in alongside the protagonist. This is my main project, a story I'm extremely excited to tell, and the one that will benefit the most from your help!
nomarios (nomarios.tumblr.com) is a blog where I draw videogame characters that don't get a whole lot of artistic attention otherwise! There are around 100 entries currently up, and I've still got a list of around 200 characters to go, with new requests coming in daily.
Pinni (gumroad.com/oddlookingbird) is a comic miniseries about an adventurer who befriends monsters instead of slaying them. For now, it is only available in print and PDF form.

I would like to devote all my time to making content for you (specifically, Jailbird), printing physical books of my works, and seeing you at conventions (such as ECCC, TCAF, and SPX)! I've recently undergone some very significant life changes (divorce) and am working to keep myself afloat after doing what had to be done to get out of my bad situation (becoming financially independent, moving out, etc.) It's rough going due to the suddenness of these changes, but I'm almost to the point where I can fully support myself doing what I love! *You* are the one who can help get me there!
