What is Skull Chaser?
Skull Chaser is a sci-fi comic set 500 years in the future about a skull-faced bounty hunter from another galaxy who's trapped in our solar system with no memory of where he came from or why he's here.
It's a mash of all my favorite genres and stories. Take a little bit of spaghetti western, a bit of 1950's samurai films, little bit of Hellboy, Alien, FLCL, and Cowboy Bebop. Throw them in a blender set to pulverize, and out pours Skull Chaser.
The comic updates once a week at www.skullchaser.com and is free to read online. That's one page every Wednesday. I'd like to get the story out faster, which is why my first goal is to get to a point where I can post TWO pages every Wednesday.

Who is this Jake Parker guy?
I'm Jake Parker, and I've been drawing comics for over a decade. I've written and drawn stories for the Flight Anthologies, I created the Missile Mouse graphic novels, published by Graphix, and recently I collected a bunch of my short stories in a book called The Antler Boy and Other Stories.
Outside of comics I was a concept artist for animated films and worked on Rio, Epic, Ice Age, and Horton Hears a Who. I've also illustrated several children's books. Check out my website if you want to know more about all that stuff: www.mrjakeparker.com
I love drawing comics and have sooo many stories I want to tell but right now the one that's bursting out of my chest is Skull Chaser. Let's talk about getting this thing made, shall we?

What's the deal with Patreon?
It's simple, if you like Skull Chaser (or even just my work in general) you can financially support it through Patreon. It lets you set an amount you can give per month and with that funding I get to say no to one or two freelance jobs so I can work on making more great stories.
Keep in mind when pledging that Skull Chaser updates 4 times a month on Wednesdays.
So, for less than you'd spend on lunch today you can become a patron of the arts! Specifically, this art:
