Hello,

If you're here, it's probably because you like to read. If that's the case, you're most certainly not alone: I do too.

Only a few years ago did I realize how difficult it was to create these pieces of writing that I had taken for granted. My favorite books weren't things that just "happened" overnight. Those stories I read growing up didn't just appear on paper in a quick month or two (or three, or four!) Those were created over years of hard work and dedication. Upon realizing this, I decided that I wanted to make something of my own. I wanted to put something back into that massive sea of material I had been taking from, and so I began to write. Or... more accurately, I tried to write. My goal was give something to the world that someone (someday) might pick up and read. I took the plunge headfirst, and I was terrible. Several years later, I posted my first story online.

Who am I?

I'm the guy who rambled on with r/writingprompts to generate "The Snake Report" and "The Dark Lord Gillian" (while occasionally taking on a serious one-shot writingprompt for fun!) I'm also the person who wrote the online series "Beast" over at r/HFY, the story "D/C", and "The Regulator" and many others. (All of which are happily stored online for reading over on Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/jakethesnakebakecake/)

I'd like to turn every single story mentioned above into real books or graphic novels. If you'd like this too, please feel free to support me and I'll try my best to make it happen.

Don't you dare.
Goals
$128 of $200 per month
I plan to reinvest a large majority of this money to hire artists. From bookcovers, to character designs, to story scenes drawn out: you name it. At 200 dollars a month I believe I could begin to hire some higher quality help on a regular basis.

Please note: Currently, I have a full-time job and do not rely on this as income. For those who donate, please understand I do not expect to make a living writing and I will not aggressively pursue donations. As a rule, 95% of the money made by this patreon is reinvested into the stories (be that a proof-reader, or hiring an editor, or working with an artist) and typically matched dollar for dollar by my own. The other 5% is spent on coffee.
