THE NOT-AS-SHORT VERSION: In 2010, I started a blog called PhiloLogos to share my writing and music. Over the years I've been lucky to have some cool things happen – two songs on MTV's The Hills; a web article with over 10K Facebook shares – but nothing has been more fulfilling than the personal feedback I've received from readers and listeners who have expressed a desire to read and hear more. So, that's what I want to do – create and share more. Specifically, I’d like to write a book (or two) and record a solo album (or three). You can help me accomplish these goals.
Patreon allows people to support creators they love in an ongoing basis, by giving a little money (like a tip - whatever amount they choose) every time the creator releases something new. And it allows creators to show their appreciation by offering their patrons a number of unique rewards and experiences. So, for as little as the price of a coffee once a month, you can help me produce better quality writing and music more often, and get some cool rewards in return. And since Patreon allows you to set a monthly limit on how much you want to spend, you never have to worry about being charged more than you’re comfortable giving.
If my articles or songs have ever inspired or helped you in some way, please consider becoming a patron. Any amount you are able to give is helpful and appreciated more than you can know.
THE KINDS OF THINGS I'LL BE RELEASING
- Web articles on various cultural/philosophical/theological topics
- Recordings of original songs (some finished, some demos)
- Previously unreleased demos, b-sides, and live recordings from my old band Elevator Division
- YouTube videos of me performing original songs and covers
- Sneak peeks of sections of a book I'm working on
- More things that I haven't thought of yet
I will release a new creation (article or song) 1-2 times per month.
