My name is James Jesso.

I am a writer and the host of the Adventures Through The Mind podcast. I have been working with psychedelic substances as a part of my spiritual, intellectual, and professional life path for over a decade.

I am also the author of Decomposing The Shadow: Lessons From The Psilocybin Mushroom and The True Light Of Darkness.

What I Make

My main project at the moment is a WIP book project on psychedelic integration and building a relationship with psilocybin (magic) mushrooms.

My predominant content, though, is the Adventures Through The Mind podcast, which features long-form, unedited conversations with various experts on topics relevant and related to psychedelic culture, psychedelic medicine, and psychedelic research. It releases as both audio-only across (early) all podcasting platforms and in video on YouTube

My primary goal with this podcast is to explore these topics and create entertaining, engaging, and thoughtful conversations around them. However, attached to that primary goal is a secondary goal: supporting the personal and cultural integration of psychedelic experiences in a functional and healthy way. I move towards that goal by exploring the psychedelic field with a curiosity for immediate and valuable relevance to a person’s lived life.

This podcast is a one-person operation (me) and I do everything from research and scheduling to post-production, digital art design for each episode, website management, and social media.

Additionally, I also create single videos on various topics, various pieces of writing, and lectures on various topics.

The psychedelic experience really shines when we find a way to integrate what we’ve learned from it into our daily lives. My desire to help that with that integration on a personal and cultural level is not only why I produce Adventures Through The Mind, but also informs the very foundations of my career path over the last 12 years.

This content and all that goes into it is my full-time work and by becoming my patron you enable me to earn a sustainable income producing it; to earn a sustainable income living out my mission to create content that betters lives and both contributes to and invigorates psychedelic and plant medicine culture.

Do I have to commit to being a patron forever?

No. With Patreon you can end your patronage at any time. There is no expectation you stay my patron any longer than it feels good for you and no matter how long or short, I am grateful. That said, Patreon is the foundation by which I assess the reliability of my income, so I would be happier to receive your $8 patronage for a year than $46 patronage for two months.

I don't have much money; can I still become a Patron?

Yes, please only sign up with what you can easily afford. Even $2 per month makes a difference and is greatly appreciated. Anything is something.
