JAKYO
Discover Japan - Experience Kyoto

since 2009

Japan-Kyoto (Jakyo) is a project to capture the most beautiful city in the world: Kyoto in Japan.

The main goal of the project is to write detailed articles about everything Kyoto and to get the reader closer to this amazing city - no simple to-do lists, no superficial commercial articles, in-depth posts only, with useful and detailed information! Topics varies from sightseeing spots (focus), culture, events and sports / Japanese Budo. For now, those articles are in German language only, with possible translations in the future.

Together with these articles come extensive media work. Jakyo already built up a vast library of Japan photography with nearly 10.000 photos, available for free on Japan-Kyoto Flickr account. Some videos were also captured, available on Youtube.

Ok, so who's behind Japan-Kyoto?
There's no big travel company backing Jakyo, the project is solely handled by one person with a huge passion for Kyoto since his first travel to the old Japanese capital in 2009: Christian Kaden. Travelling regularly to Kyoto and Japan since 2009, trying to capture the gorgeous views this country and especially Kyoto has to offer. Together with the passion for Kyoto came the passion for photography, which lead to the project Jakyo and it's current shape.

You can support Jakyo by becoming a patron. This will help Jakyo to cover costs for web hosting, media equipment and travel expenses. While it's currently not necessary for the survival of the project, it's considered as a big thank you for the work done and motivation to do even more!
