JeanxDinah is a collective of queer femmes based in Trinidad and Tobago and its' diaspora producing programming and zines. Through Patreon, we're hoping to gain a little extra to fund our upcoming events, provide the team with new resources and pay our collaborators. In 2017, we began plotting in earnest and now, we feel situated enough to move our operations to the next level. To date, we've produced two zines that have been distributed around the Caribbean region, as well as several workshops and events. Two goals for 2019 are to expand our network to other islands and to be able to offset the costs of our events so that all can attend for free. Your support will enable that!

More about the zine: JeanxDinah is a biannual zine featuring the work of Queer Caribbean women and femmes living and working in the region. The zine was conceived after we noticed a lack of opportunities for artists like us in traditional art institutions/spaces. JxD is an act of self-authorship and a affirmation of our place in the Caribbean art historical canon.

More on programming: Our programming is highly responsive and ranges from book clubs to trivia nights to self-defense workshops. We employ a rotating cast of volunteers and collaborators to produce events of a high quality that are both useful, informative and fun for all.

Please consider being a Patron--especially if you're in the Diaspora! We would really appreciate your backing~
