Milestone Goals
Everyone gets a little
I can pay for some show costs - guest parking, fancy waters, wordpress themes, and quarters for Igor, our resident fixer. It will also help us give back to Alex Cook, whose music we often use on this show. And we'll send money to the Band Camp pages of the artists whose music we find on the Free Music Archive, because they're awesome too.
Live Shows & Bonus Episodes
We'll do two live storytelling shows each month. Live on the internet, no holds barred, bring on the lawyers. Also we'll guarantee a weekly behind the scenes bonus episode. Stories about a storytelling podcast.
Better Gear
We'll hire an audio engineer so that we can focus on the storytelling part and stop pretending Jennie is an audio engineer (Hint: she's not.), We'll buy some better microphones and put some proper sound padding on the walls of the office. And we'll buy a few traveling microphones and send them to our guests so they sound nice too.
Story Trailer
This is what's known as a stretch goal. We'll hit the road in an Airstream tricked out as a radio studio and drive across America. We'll stop in small towns and big cities and record lots of stories from the people you know. Wow. That sounds so fun!
About
Hi I'm Jennie. I grew up in a radio studio and didn't pay any attention. Now I'm learning all the lessons the hard way, many years too late. It's a good story, so I'm telling it piece by piece, right here. Thank you for reading this!

I host and produce a weekly storytelling podcast called Tell It Anyway. My husband and our friends from college all help out. The show is three people telling three stories centered around one topic. We've done episodes about childhood, shame, camp, humiliation, drinking, and 'that sinking feeling.' Sometimes it's funny, sometimes it's sad, sometimes it sounds Skype-y.
We use all the available words in the English language, and we don't censor people's stories, so sometimes the stories can be NSFW, or at least NSFTween.
We've produced more than ten episodes and its starting to feel like the very beginning of a small thing. And I'm still really iffy about asking for your dollars.
Why?
Because you give enough. To a lot of great shows. Including the one I work on in the daylight hours (Hint: It's initials are DTNS). But then my boss on that show told me that I should trust the audience to decide what is and is not worth their support.
So I trust you.
If you like this show, you can support us with some very valuable laundry quarters. If you like the music on the show, I'd like to be able to send the musicians some of those laundry quarters. If you'd like the audio quality to be better, that's gonna take a few more laundry quarters, so we made a goal for that. If you'd like an actual audio engineer to take over so that Jennie can focus on storytelling, we made a goal for that too. If you'd like us to come to your hometown and do shows with all the amazing people you know, well there's a crazy stretch goal for that too.
Thank you! - Jennie, Matt and Jax
