Hello there! My name is Jeremy Hatch and I am a pianist, composer and piano teacher living in Portland, Oregon.

While I'm classically trained, I've also been improvising at the piano for almost my entire life. Way back when I started playing out 25 years ago, Chick Corea's "Piano Improvisations" and Keith Jarrett's "Koln Concert" were among my favorite records, and I've always wanted to record a series of improvisations in homage to those works. That's the idea behind this project.

Each of these improvisations will be completely spontaneous -- no planning or pre-composing. The only thing I will bring to the piano is an idea of a mood or texture I want to evoke, and then start playing, following the ideas where they take me. Not every improvisation will make the cut for release -- only the best ones, three or so each month.

My intro video here is the first of these improvisations, and it's representative of what I'll be making in the months ahead: atmospheric and melodic piano music. I will release no fewer than three each month, but there may often be more. Patrons will receive a secret podcast link for listening on their favorite devices for exclusive streaming for at least one month, and exclusive access to downloads of the music, as well as a free download of any album I may make from these.

Thank you so much for considering supporting this music here on Patreon. I look forward to playing for you!
