The Creative on the Side podcast was born after finding my passion and purpose outside of my 9-5 day job. In 2017 I was bored in a meeting one day and was doodling on my notes and I really loved one of my doodles. I've been drawing constantly ever since and have expanded my creative projects and pursuits since then. My life went from dull, aimless, and boring to purpose-driven, creative, and exciting! I am excited to get out of bed every morning and go to bed exhausted (in a good way) from putting myself into my work after I finish at my day job.

I've been documenting this whole journey over on
my Instagram, and the feedback I got was that it was inspiring others to take up their own creative practices. For a while I've been wondering how to turn this into something I could share to a wider audience because I truly believe that anyone can change their life by including their own creative practice into their routine. Enter the Creative on the Side podcast!

How your support helps the show

  • Covers my monthly hosting fees
  • Will allow me to pay Zencaster, a service that makes remote interviews sound better which will expand my interview pool to people who don't live where I live.
  • Allows me to access learning resources to make the show better
  • Allows me to rely less (or not at all) on advertising to cover the cost of producing the show
Free but equally helpful ways to support the show
  • Subscribe with your favourite podcatcher
  • Leave a rating and review on iTunes (this REALLY helps get more eyeballs and ears)
  • Share episodes with your friends, family, and social networks
  • Provide feedback on things you'd like to hear, guests you'd like me to have on, questions you might have, etc.
