JFreshHockey

Welcome to JFreshHockey, the site where all of my hockey analytics visualizations can be accessed. My goal with this project is to take something that can be overwhelming and confusing for a lot of hockey fans and package it in a way that makes a bit more sense (and looks pretty). Using TopDownHockey's impressive set of hockey data models, including Wins Above Replacement, NHL Equivalency, and RAPM, I build visualizations to help communicate their results to a broader audience.

Here is what is currently available:

• Player Cards for every active regular NHL player that visualize their analytical results over a three-year period and project their current performance.
• Prospect Cards that use NHL Equivalency to project future success
• Player Timelines that visualize players' performance from 2014-15 until now.
• WAR Roster Builders that allow you to build a team and projects how it would perform
• Contract Projection Cards that use an age curve to project how a player will perform over the length of his contract
• Tableau Visualizations that include team, player, goalie, and prospect visualizations.

More is constantly being added as well, and visualizations from 2007-08 to present will be upcoming during the offseason.
