My real, legal name is J—yes, just the letter, no period.

(There’s a story there...)

I'm a folk artist from Arizona. Supported by a Princeton fellowship, I’ve spent the past year working on a record that's shaped by reflections and experiences from the world of hospice. The stories range from New Jersey to New Delhi, from patients to providers, and from adults to children. The project has allowed me to meet some truly inspiring individuals, many of whom have devoted their careers to rethinking the way that we live and die.

I've joined Patreon with the goal of extending this project indefinitely. Your patronage would allow me to bring these songs and stories to new audiences through public events, online publications, visual media, and more. Beyond that, your support would enable me to continue creating music that grapples with unpopular themes.

If you find something meaningful in my work, I’d love for you to play a role in its promotion and creation. Pledges in any amount open doors to share ideas, whether through monthly stories, exclusive previews, or even private events. And if you have a story of your own that you'd like to share, tell me about it. I love a good story…

This level of support allows me to produce video content, which provides work for creative contractors. In addition to the above rewards, I'm writing a letter to explain how your contribution is helping a community of independent artists.

Would you be interested in a concert in your home or a private event? The feasibility obviously depends on a number of factors, so no promises. Either way, know that your contribution is allowing me to devote significantly more time and energy to this project. Thank you.

Having a significant audience would motivate me to spend more time curating stories and reflections. It could also allow me to produce more video content.
