I spend almost all my time writing stories. I have self published a nonfiction book and several short story collections. My memoir will be published in the fall of 2015. I gave away many stories trying to build my reputation as a writer, but now I'd like to earn a few dollars for my efforts. I'd rather write than find a job to support my writing habit.  I make a few dollars a month on these publications, but I need a little more. I don't need much. A few hundred a month would do just fine.
I'm working on a novel that will be published some time in 2015. It consists of 40 short stories told by writers and bar patrons who frequent the Chicagoua Cafe during open mic hours. The stories posted here were or could be recited there. The owner recites a poem at the end of open mic, and there are 19 poems along with the 40 short stories. All is connected by a framing story about Joe fleeing Boston and going to Chicago where he starts the open mic.

Here are some comments about my short stories.

“Joe’s work of wild imagination and careful craft, is guaranteed to keep you reading on the edge of your seat and delight you with surprises!”
Susan Lang, author of an historical trilogy published by University of Nevada Press
“You are a master of short stories.”
Carrie
“These stories are a mix of genres and I found them short enough to read while having a cigarette.”
Debby Smith. Phoenix, AZ
“Exceptional, beautifully put together stories that cross genres and are full of twists, turns, and surprises, an avid reader who immediately reads all of Joe DiBuduo’s work.”
Joe, Chicago, IL
“Electrifying. These 99 stories have something for everyone.”
Prescott, AZ reader
“This book of short stories is synonymous to an iPod shuffle. I never know what to expect next with each new short story. With my hectic, modern day schedule, I find the stories are the perfect length to get in a quick read, when I have a few free minutes!”
Eva, Mission Viejo, CA 4
Joe's stories are interesting and memorable. His use of words to describe thoughts and experiences are comparable to that of a talented chef who mixes
insights with ingredients creating a spectacular meal The short stories will intrigue you within the first paragraph.
Carolyn Kahler, a Lafayette, CA reader
"If you like the most mind boggling, creative, weirdest stories of your lifetime; then you will take a gigantic leap into Joe's stories and come up wondering where you've been all your life."
Lula Cooper
