Hey y'all, watch this! 

I'm John G. Hartness, and I'm the best-selling author of The Black Knight Chronicles, an urban fantasy detective series, and the Bubba the Monster Hunter stories, which is kinda like what you get if Buffy the Vampire Slayer meets Duck Dynasty. I'm looking for patrons to help me quit my day job and pay for health insurance, because book sales alone don't quite cut it. 

I turn out about one short story each month, and in 2015 I'm looking at three novellas and at least two novels, not to mention four anthologies I'm committed to being part of. My work has been compared to Kevin Smith, Christopher Moore, Terry Pratchett and Joss Whedon. I'm fine with that, I've stolen liberally from all of those guys. 

But writing ain't easy, and it's hard out here for a pimp. No wait, that's the wrong thing. Never mind. I'm looking for patrons who love supporting authors and podcasters, because I also am the creator and host of Literate Liquors, a writing-centric podcast where we talk about the latest in science fiction and fantasy literature and what people should be drinking while they read it. It's kinda like those fancy-pants wine pairings, only with vampires, and more f-bombs. 

So toss me a few ducats each month and I'll give you behind-the-scenes access to the world inside my head with exclusive previews, advance reader copies, stories before they're released, and bonus stories just for you! I'll also throw in some thank yous and dedications, and if we're in the same city, we can probably make dinner happen sometime.
