Milestone Goals
Record and release my songs!
When I reach this funding goal of $500/per song, I will have raised enough to record each song with a great music engineer, and also pay some release, distribution and promotion expenses.
Go on tour!
When I reach this milestone, I'll be able to promote and support live tours across California and even the Western United States.
Reach Nirvana!
My beautiful wife and daughters and I have known easy times and hard times, but through it all we've known the most important things in life are kindness and courage. And music :)
We live simply, and I only want to be able to provide food, shelter and basic comforts to us, while living as a musician.
When I reach this milestone, I will be making a basic and comfortable living for myself and my family - as a music artist, on my own terms.
There are no milestones after this. I ask for nothing more - only, in infinite gratitude, for God to guide us all and grant us the clarity, patience, kindness, faith, courage and strength to follow.

That's me in the spotlight! Taking the stage at Old Ironsides May 30, 2015 at my first paid show! Up until then, I've played donation shows and open mics.
I'm setting out on my journey, and with your help I can make it!
I’m John Kyle and I’m a music artist from California. My musical style is acoustic guitar-driven alternative folk-rock. If there was a word in between psychological and psychedelic, that mind describe the atmosphere of my music. It's deep, yet simple. Some tell me it's hypnotic. I call it "psych folk."
I’m working on my first solo album. I perform live shows in and around Sacramento, CA US, and am raising funds for a California tour later this year.

Why I Make Music.
I make music because it’s the deepest connection I know how to make with people. It’s a river that flows through all of us.
I make music to tell people it’s OK – you're not alone. Be who you really are, even if – especially if – that’s not who everyone else wants you to be.
I make music to save people because music is what saved me.
What Patreon Does.
This is not the same as crowdfunding platforms like KickStarter that require lots of big donations for a project. Instead, Patreon allows fans to become "patrons" by pledging a small amount (as little as $1) each time their favorite artists release a new creation.
You never have to worry about spending more than you want. You set a monthly maximum, and you can cancel anytime. You're always in control.
