2020年7月30日，政權大規模取消立法會候選人的參選資格，DQ幅度遠超眾人預算，在世界任何一個地方而言，這無異於選舉舞弊。觀乎政權下一步的圖謀，便是借疫情取消選舉，以「臨時立法會2.0」為惡法開路，並為「萬年國代 2.0」的黑暗時代鋪路。
然而，暴政再強，仍無礙我繼續投身香港的民主運動。從反國教、雨傘、反送中到國安法壓境，我曾身陷囹圄，亦有幸走向世界，由衷體會到即使面對警暴、惡法、牢獄之災，甚至被送中的危機，也囚禁不住香港人爭取自由的決心，在民主自由的征途上，絕不會因DQ而退卻。
身處香港，面對審訊與官司，我沒有離開的選擇，只有留守抵抗的前路。為了將港人不屈不降的意志展現出來，我會在Patreon頻道以中、英文發表文章和影片，書寫香港抗爭的歷程，並希望藉著自己在民主運動的位置，提供第一手資訊，鼓勵世界各地讀者與香港抗爭者同行。
八年以來，從未缺席於大小抗爭，自己身處在政治風眼當中，一直想盡辦法在體制內外尋求突破。然而，當未來不再存在議會資源支援民間抗爭，為確保本地運動有持續推進，伙伴和自己仍能全心投入政治工作，開設頻道的想法也是由此而起。
逆權抗暴，人身安全不免受影響。面對國家機器全方位監控，加上持續被不知名人士及車輛尾隨跟縱的情況日益嚴峻，有關這個頻道收得收益，除了繼續支撐我和伙伴的基本生計所須，我也計畫聘請專業保鑣及司機，以防跟蹤及遇襲，相信額外開支不菲，阮囊羞澀，還望大家多多支持。

我們會用行動，而非只是口號，去證明給大家看，未來三年，五年，十年，都有我們這一代，在九七前後，主權移交後出生的一代人，在香港這個家園，繼續奮鬥下去。」

Beijing has staged the largest-ever assault on the city’s remaining free election, with pro-democracy candidates across spectrum disqualified. In the letter of electoral officers, they have nearly screened all my posts, co-eds, media interviews and statements for cooking up excuses for disqualification.
Under total surveillance of secret police, I have been trailed by unknown agents for days, let alone the growing risk of being assaults. To protect the personal safety of my friends and mine, I am considering hiring a personal bodyguard and driver, which may be a new financial burden.
However, after a whole year of resistance, Hongkongers will not surrender. Police brutality, Security Law and sweeping National Security Law will not silence our voices for justice and democracy.
