Milestone Goals
High-five!
Let’s get real here for a minute; everyone loves a good high
five. The sound of the snap. The tingly sensation imprinted upon your palm. It
offers a real sense of accomplishment. Can you think of a better way to start
off our new Patreon relationship than with a good high five? Yeah, me either.
Smile
You know that feeling when you randomly find $20 in the
pocket of an old pair of pants? Now imagine that happening every month. This
is the feeling I’m chasing.
Donate
Screw it. I won’t even keep this. I will reinvest all of
this back into the Patreon community (or some other deserving charity). There
are so many wonderfully talented and creative people out there I would love to
support. Let’s make this happen people. For the good of the world.
Settle up
Why the oddly specific amount? I’m glad you asked. This is
my student loan payment each and every month. Until I die. Forever. The sheer
number of creative things I could do with the extra $243 ($242.36 to be exact) is staggering.
Seriously. Let's do this. I know you’re curious.

Expand
Well here we are. The serious money. What a journey. As I
have transitioned from an architect to a full time travel and photography
schedule it is important that my equipment improves as well. Getting new gear
is like seeing the hot girl/guy smile and make eyes at you from across the
room. More
importantly though higher quality gear will better withstand more rigorous
travel demands and allow me to both continue to produce the kick-ass photos
you’ve come to love as well as expand my capabilities for new creative
ventures.

Adapt
What’s better than having $500? Having $500 in each hand. To
create content it is important to remain adaptable. Situations arise.
Unexpected opportunities present themselves. Especially while traveling. This level of support would contribute
enough monetary certainty to allow me to be more adaptable within my adventures
to chase what is most important and deliver to you the most interesting work. Plus,
think of the high fives we could have if my hands were filled with $500. Yeah.
It would be just like you are imagining. Only better.
Move
To continue delivering content from around the world it is
vital for me to be out in it. Google street view just won’t cut it. $2000 is a lot of
money. I mean, a lot of money. This level of support would fully fund the costs to
maintain my year round travel schedule. That is a staggering thought. My
itinerary would also be able to expand to include more remote locations and
allow me to explore and share with you regions off the beaten path. As an added
bonus this will also enable me to achieve my goal of producing workshops,
tutorials and how-to content to give back to the photography and travel community.

Sustain
I can’t even describe to you what
this level of support would mean. Simply put, it would allow me to
sustain a lifestyle. I can find and maintain a home base from which to work. I
can take on a studio, cover overhead costs, and incorporate new team members. I can
plan more expansive and complex travel itineraries – enabling more collaboration
with both locals and photographers to create richer, more in depth
projects. Plus about a thousand other ideas I have swirling around in this head of mine. This would mean everything
to me.

Hello everyone and welcome to my Patreon page. I am Josh, former architect, current photographer, avid cereal eater and passionate world traveler. I create images from my experiences around the world.
What is this Patreon?
Simply put Patreon is a platform allowing you to support your favorite creative creators (aka me). Put any dollar amount you feel comfortable with in the box up there and each month it will arrive at my door to give me a high five. This will help me to continue creating the amazing content you have come to adore and help you to sleep at night knowing you contributed to making this world a more beautiful place by backing a creative endeavor. Plus, I am offering free stuff for supporters! Win-win right? So where exactly will my money go?
Full disclosure: my bank account. But, like me, it will not stay in one place for long. Your support will help with everything from new camera equipment and website hosting to 4am street food and visa fees. You may also pause or cancel your support at any time. Have no fear. I am not treating this like a free handout. I am not sitting back here petting a white cat with my feet up on an ominous desk laughing as money rolls in. I am using this to create. To do. To inspire. And quite sincerely, the more support I receive the more it pushes me to create even more for all of you.But why should I support you?
You mean besides the awesome rewards, ridiculous travel stories and amazing photos? Honestly, it is this simple: You would be helping me pursue my dreams. Can you tell me about your work?
My work aims to facilitate experiences; instilling the desire to go, see and do. I continually seek out honest cultural experiences to fully convey the intricacies of their deeply embedded richness. You can find my work here: Website | Flickr | Instagram | FacebookNow keep in mind, you don't have to support me to see and enjoy my work. While there are perks and special rewards for supporting me, my work will always be available to you. Your support will simply be a noteworthy way of ensuring the creative process can continue. Plus, you will have the distinct privilege of calling yourself a patron of the arts. Or as I like to call it - a total badass.
