In my podcast, YouTube channel and blog, I seek to create a mature and stable Christian worldview.

{ BACKSTORY }
Raised in the church, and attending Bible school right after High School, it became apparent to me in late 2007 that the faith I was raised in was shallow, insufficient, and riddled with hypocrisy. I began a quest for authentic Christianity which lead me, for a season, outside the church. I was very much influenced by Rob Bell, Brian MacLaren, Bruxy Cavey, PostModernity, and the Emergent Movement during this time.
In 2008, I discovered Augustine, Mark Driscoll, John Piper, and William Lane Craig: I began realizing that the answers lay back within the walls of the Church. I also began repenting of some of my own arrogance, and finding healing for some of the "church hurt" I had experienced. I began serving the church again, but all the while searching for deep answers. How can we answer the objections raised against the faith by atheists, Muslims, and academics? Simply clinging to "faith" seemed insufficient. How can we move beyond the deep problems of legalism, formalism, authoritarianism, that plagues the church?
During this time I moved to my hometown, married my wife, had two children, worked on my Masters in Theology, and found employment driving a garbage truck. My job allowed me to listen to thousands of podcasts. I wrote out my journey on my blog, nolongerbechildren.wordpress.com Many thoughts began to crystallize during that time, and I began to describe myself as "Reformed and Mennonite," and felt I was getting close to my goal of a "Mature and Stable Christian Worldview."
In 2013, we moved our family to Quebec and then to Africa as missionaries. This journey has been incredibly difficult. We have lived through culture shock, kidnappings, terrorist attacks, loss of property, loss of identity, burnout and depression. All of these events have left a mark on us. I am still seeking a "mature and stable Christian worldview." But I am understanding that in life, not everything is black and white.
I am currently living in Quebec Canada where I am a campus pastor. My job regularly has me wrestling with deep questions with very intelligent students. I have recently begun a Doctorate in Ministry at Southern Evangelical Seminary. We have five children, and I share pastoring responsibilities for our small Anglican church.

My podcast is the main outlet through which I ask probing questions, share insights I have discovered, and invite others to follow me in this journey of seeking to create a mature and stable Christian worldview.
