WHY A MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM?
JSTOR Daily is a small, independent team within ITHAKA, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving teaching and learning through technology. ITHAKA’s support has enabled us to publish free JSTOR Daily articles with links to scholarship on the JSTOR platform for all readers.
We want to continue what we’re doing and have considered numerous options to ensure sustainability. We looked at paywalls, sponsored content, and site advertising--all disruptive to your reading experience and contrary to our commitment to editorial independence.
That’s why we’re launching the JSTOR Daily membership program. We want to:
- Connect with our most supportive and loyal readers
- Plan for a sustainable future where we continue paying our contributors while retaining our editorial independence
- Build on ITHAKA's investment to help fulfill its mission of broadening access to scholarship
Help us continue publishing the JSTOR Daily stories you love and trust.
