This will allow me to do a "Pixel Art 101" educational stream series that teaches the fundamentals of pixel art.

Five Night Per Week
With this much support, I'll put a serious effort into streaming five nights per week instead of my usual four. This will likely consist of an extra art stream each week. More details on this if we get close to reaching this goal!
Console Streaming
This is here as more of a cumulative goal, rather than a monthly goal. It will be removed when I've been able to afford this!

Being able to save this much money each month will give me quite a comfortable nest egg when I return home. It will allow me to look for work and build a portfolio without having to stress about money as much.

About
I've been making pixel art for around 10 years now. Lately, I've been consciously attempting to improve my art and have become more ambitious with my works.
I also do live in Japan, and work as an ALT (assistant language teacher) at elementary schools and middle schools. I love my job, but it's not permanent - I'll be returning home in August of 2016.

As of me writing this and opening my Patreon, I have around a year and a half until I move from Japan back to America. The subject of what I want to do when I go home has been mentioned with increasing frequency, and the more I think of it, the more I'm convinced that I want to try to make a living off of my art.It's very difficult to make a living from pixel art. The main market is for game art, and it is difficult to break into that field. There will likely be long periods before I will be able to live solely on proceeds from my art, and before it is a stable, reliable source of income -- if it ever gets to that point. However, I want to give it my best shot.
