We are reaching out to you to ask for your help in fulfilling a 25-year old dream: Producing and releasing the songs that we, the Bouzid Brothers, wrote and practiced in our youth, when we were three young musicians in our early teens. Way back in the 80s, we used to spend as much of our weekends and vacations as we could in our basement, composing and practicing songs for 8-10 hours at a stretch, and loving and cherishing every moment of it. We would write and practice new songs dozens of times, time and again, honing the music down to get just the right mood, just the right feeling, just the exact sequence of chords and lyrics. It was our ultimate joy to create, shape, and complete songs that expressed exactly what was inside of us.

Left to right, Drummer Rachid Bouzid, Lead Vocalist and Guitarist, Mo Bouzid, and Bassist, Ahmed Bouzid, Madrid, Spain, 1981

We never received any formal musical training, never took any classes in playing an instrument, never learned how to read music -- but we loved music, and, most importantly, loved creating and putting music together. We loved the act of converting feelings to song and doing it together.
Unfortunately, we never got a chance to professionally produce the music that we created. All that we managed to do was to record as best we could the music we created in low quality audio.

Bassist, Ahmed Bouzid, Algiers, Algeria, Summer, 1986Now, 25 years on, we want nothing more than to turn that music into songs performed by professional musicians and to share those songs with the world!

So, to that end, we are commissioning a band to take our songs, perform them and record them professionally, and turn our dreams into thrilling reality!

In this campaign, we are asking your help us finance the production of our Album.
Our Partner band are The Flashbacks -- a great bunch of guys who have just the right sound to bring our music to life.

We have gone ahead and fully produced a song so that you can get a sense of the before and after. The song is title, "She was All, " and here's how it sounds before and after professional production:

Drummer, Rachid Bouzid, Algiers, Algeria, Fall 2015
Here are all the songs of the "Far over the Horizon," the name of our first album:
  1. She was All - completed
  2. Autumn's Gale - completed
  3. Do you Know - in progress
  4. Far over the Horizon - in progress
  5. Love is Gone - in final production
  6. Just a Dream - in final production
  7. Live it up - in final production
  8. My Love - in progress

Lead vocalist and guitarist, Mo Bouzid, Algiers, Algeria, Fall 2015If you like the music and think it is worthwhile to bring it to life, please consider contributing at one of the offered levels.

We are 85% done and, with your help, we will be able to push all of the songs through the finishing line by the end of February 2016.

The album will be available for download to the public via iTunes, Spotify, Amazon Music, Rdio, Rhapsody, iHeartRadio, among many other channels.
Please consider pitching in and please help us spread the word.
