I want to write snarky monster hunter books.

I want to do other things too, like have a kitten and go buy veggies from a farmers market on a Saturday morning. But more than that, more than anything else I want to write snarky monster hunter books. The kind of books I've buried myself in when my real life was too boring, depressing, or stressful to deal with. Where found families of mouthy weirdos change the world for the better, one coffee fueled case at a time. Indulgent and trope-y in all the best ways. But doing that requires time and energy, and it's stressful in a way I didn't think it could be when teenage me was having big dreams about a 13 book series and a movie deal.  While crushed under the oppressive yoke of capitalism the way to find time and energy to turn creative dreams into a reality without becoming an unbearable stress monster that no one wants to be around is money.  By becoming my patron you help lift a little of that pressure and give me the space, freedom, and resources to bring snarky monster hunters to the world.

Right now that means Máire Grimshaw, a petite, blonde necromancer hiding the full extent of her power from a magical community which sees death magic as something to be feared. And, of course, her partner: a dead cop with a meddling kid sister.

Thank you for even taking the time to even consider pledging  something to me. It means a lot.
