About Kelsey Morse Ansbro

Hi, I'm Kelsey. I teach yoga online and in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. I am a Yoga Alliance 200 hour registered teacher (RYT-200) with over 300 hours of teaching experience so far. I have taught yoga in community centres, gyms, nurseries, schools, and in healthcare contexts. In 2020, I moved my teaching online and plan to continue these classes as I add in-person classes back on my timetable.

The yoga I teach includes asanas (postures), meditation, pranayama (breathing exercises) and relaxation. These holistic practices cultivate mindful body awareness and breath integration for well-being. It is adaptable so people with a range of considerations for practice can experience the benefits of yoga. Anyone from complete beginners to seasoned practitioners are welcome to join.

At the moment I offer weekly Gentle Flow Yoga and Chair Yoga classes, plus monthly Weekend Mini Retreats (gentle flow + restorative yoga), all on Zoom.

I'm passionate about making yoga inclusive by working with each individual to meet their needs and guide them toward their goals. I also aim to foster a supportive community in my classes so people feel welcome to join, even if they have never done yoga before or feel they don't fit the stereotypical profile of a yoga practitioner.

There are so many benefits to be had from regular yoga practice, which you may already know, but here are a few to consider:

In 2020, I changed my pricing structure to rely on contributions instead of required payments for classes. I did this to support people who could not pay for classes during the pandemic. I was humbled and inspired by the number people who contributed more than the suggested amount to support their peers and enable me to continue my work. Now that online yoga classes are here to stay, I have created this Patreon account for students who would like to commit to regular yoga practice with a supportive local teacher, receive extra resources and discounts, support my work and ensure access to classes for those who face financial uncertainty.
