Making Kendo Courses to Connect and Educate More People

The videos are great. You can see what’s going on as said “A picture is worth a thousand words”. However, you need more. You need more detailed explanations because kendo is not just a series of “movements”.

Kendo carries history and culture. Without learning them, you are not learning “complete” kendo. Or I should say you are just learning “exercise”. So I do not want you to do it unless that is the only thing you want to get out of kendo.

That is why I am making free courses for everyone.

Giving a lesson of Japanese for Kendo

Kendo is one of Japanese cultures and it has a lot of Japanese. You will have to learn Japanese soon or later when you do kendo. So I also teach you Japanese free.

I used to teach Japanese at university about 4-5 years so I would like to share my knowledge on that. Through my experience, I can show you how you should learn Japanese to have a conversation.

Interpreting great senseis writings

I have many books written by great senseis in the past. It is so great to learn these things but unfortunately these books are in Japanese. I would like to share what I learn from these books with you.

There are many more things I am planning to share with you but it costs a lot for me to do so. Like…

• interviewing senseis who know traditional Japanese kendo,
• going to a kendo equipment shop to film how handmade bogu made and interview them,
• going around to instruct kendo where there is no access to kendo
• learning traditional classical kenjutsu

These are things that I can do to SHARE with you. But unfortunately it costs a lot and I am not a millionaire.

At this point, I am not asking you to believe what I am planning to do but I am asking you to believe in what I can do for you and for the future generation. And of course, I want you to believe in kendo and what it can do for you and me and the future generation.
