About Kenya Inge The Artist

Hi, I'm Kenya. I view the world as a complex place and I also see the art in everything that happens around me. I was born in Eutaw, Alabama and raised in Tuscaloosa, Alabama where I still live today. I was born as William Inge, but I always knew I was Kenya Kiera Inge, and that's who I grew up to be. I was raised by a single, strong momma. I didn't always think I was talented in drawing but I was always drawn to making art. Sometimes I would go to the library and just stare at pictures of art... not knowing what was inside of me, but then the art would just move me. The art started to just flow from me. As I started to do more artwork, I started to learn more about myself. I started to heal so much; the things that were broken inside of me and the things that were keeping me back started to heal. I started seeing the beauty I could bring to others. Doing artwork has really rescued me. It is a safe haven for me, and keeps me sane. Support me here on Patreon to gain access to unique art pieces and poetry to soothe the soul and lift the spirit.
