About

Want to support a content creator with a passion for sports and pop culture? Looking for someone interested in sharing his thoughts in blog, podcast and video form? Want to have some fun with some live streams on Twitch and Facebook? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then hopefully you will stick around.

Who am I?

My name is Kevin McGuire. I am a college football blogger for NBC Sports on College Football Talk and a contributor to Athlon Sports. I also run my own college football blog at No 2-Minute Warning, where I host a podcast and share some commentary that may not be able to fit on either previously mentioned outlet for one reason or another. At the heart, I consider myself an independent voice in the crowded college football online world with opportunities to contribute to two well-known names in the industry.

I have been covering college football for over a decade now as we approach the 2019 season, but I do like to spread my wings beyond the collegiate pigskin when the time allows. I like to watch and discuss movies and TV shows. I like to play video games. I like to run. I like to walk the dog. And I want to share some of these experiences and thoughts with you. The biggest hurdle is a lack of time to devote to something that has rarely been one that can be financially feasible.

What's Next?

Over the years, I have become a big fan of various forms of content creation. From blogging to podcasting to video to live streaming and more, there is a lot to soak in. I have dipped my toes in each of these areas in the past and remain interested in continuing these platforms as well. But until the earth decides to slow down the speed of its rotation to allow for 36-48 hour days, there simply is not enough time to set aside for these activities.

Unless, of course, I create an organized plan of attack with a schedule that allows for content sharing that hits on all of the topics I wish to share. I want to bring back the No 2-Minute Warning podcast at full strength. I want to schedule live streams and stick to the schedule. I want to make sure I am constantly writing and sharing my reactions and thoughts with you.

Why Patreon?

My intent is to use Patreon as a supplemental outlet to my other existing platforms with two original posts per week. Tuesdays will be reserved for a sports topic. Thursdays will be reserved for some random pop culture topic. And because I despise paywalls on internet sites, you won't see any paywalls on this platform preventing you from reading my posts until I reach 100 Patrons.

However, there are some ideas I have in mind for future features available only to supporters such as video mailbags, live streams with supporter-only voice chat, and more. And once the college football season starts up, I may share an exclusive post just with my Patreon subscribers. Those plans are all in the works for now, though.

But the biggest reason I have decided to open up a Patreon page is the sense of community I believe can be established. While nobody sets up a Patreon page hoping to never receive a buck or two, my focus is more on creating a community with you, and if you feel it is worth a buck to support the cause and lead to future goals, then so be it.

There will be more to this shortly. In the meantime, feel free to connect with me and send along any comments, questions, or suggestions you may have.

When I reach 50 supporters, I will do a live Q&A stream and invite all Patrons to be a part of it.
