Hey there guys, my name is Keyera and I'd like to tell you a little bit about me so you can get an idea of why I've made this page.

Personal

I'm just your average 23 year old looking to make her way in the world.

At the moment I'm a college student working toward a B.A. in Art Therapy. The school that I'm attending gives the students in my major a choice between 4 concentration tracks. I went with the crafts track, which gives me the chance to build and improve skills in sculpture.Outside of classes, I'm still working regularly on my drawing and painting skills.
I have manyacquaintances, some good friends, and one or two great friends, but all the people in my life have helped to shape me in some way and inspire my craft. They are a huge part of what drives me, because my life revolves around emotion. Who better to evoke strong emotions than the people you know in the world?

Professional

My daily work life is centered around my tiny business, Spider's Nest Creations. I officially branded and launched SNC in May of 2016, and since then I've been steadily building, adjusting, and promoting the business to try and create something that I can make a living out of.

SNC is focused on two things: my first love, art, and my second love, mental health and wellness. I combine 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional techniques to create and build characters, creatures, scenery, and stories, and I created this page so that I could share them with others. I also work to adapt my skills and my creations to help, inspire, and support those with mental illnesses and disorders.

This is where you come in.

When you make a pledge to my work, you're helping me buy materials, build my workspace, increase my reach, and make a living. In return, I'm happy to let you into the studio (virtually at least), and see just what goes into my work. Think of being a patron to my work as getting a chance to take a tour of Wonka's chocolate factory, minus all the disasters. The more you're willing to give, the more you get. But of course, I love every one of my patrons, so you all get something special. I also love hearing feedback and ideas from you guys, so please don't ever be afraid to contact me for anything at all, especially if there's something new you want to see from me.

How it works

Art and the process that goes into it often go under appreciated. This section is here to show you exactly what you're getting when you make a pledge, and why it's worth the expense.

Posting Schedule

First and foremost, with a monthly pledging system, a steady posting schedule is ideal. Public posts will go up every Wednesday barring any technical issues or scheduling conflicts with school. To avoid these, I try to queue posts several weeks in advance so that the schedule remains consistent. Content for paying Patrons is more flexible, as different processes may go into different works. However, I will do my best to provide content for each tier at least once a month.

For the Public

Check out the "Posts" tab on my page to see what projects you'll be funding. Manypledge rewards are related to the Patron-only feed, but that doesn't mean you have to become a Patron tosee anything at all. Available for public viewing are completed illustrations, photos of completed 3D projects, and some exercises, warm-ups, and practice pages (these are not the same as the brainstorming or sketch pages on the Patron-only feeds).
The most frequent "free" posts will likely be exercises (1-5 minute doodles),studies (color, line, technique, material, etc), and creations made through prompts and art challenges. Completed works will be rarer simply because they take much longer to complete.

For Patrons

My Patreon is set up for monthly payments. As mentioned above in the "Posting Schedule" section, my goal is to have regular content throughout the month. However, there may be some months whereI do not create any paid content, and some months I create up to five new, complete illustrations. It all depends on the flow of creativity and the time I'm able to put into the creations being posted.

Due to the possibility of inconsistencies, I want all my patrons to know that while you cannot put your subscriptions on hold, you can cancel and restart your patronage, as well as edit the amount you pledge per month, whenever you want to. I absolutely will not be upset if you choose to reduce or completely withdraw your pledge during inactive months. Times are hard, and I can understand tightening the purse strings.

That said, check out what tier you're in to see what sort of posts you'll be seeing on the feed and what your Patron rewards are. Higher tiers will receive benefits less frequently, as more work and time goes into them, but it will be worth it.

If I'm working on a particularly large project, or something that I'm really excited about, a project schedule may go up in the public feed, so watch for those - whenever a schedule is posted, I WILL be sticking to it, and I might even include a variety of Patron bonuses, both to build hype and keep my own creativity flowing.

I hope that you all enjoy the content here, whether you're just dabbling in the free stuff or you're pledging money to see the better posts.
