Hi there – I’m Sylvain Ice, or “Kiiranaux,” and this is a patreon page to support the future development of the High Fantasy mod and modpack for Dwarf Fortress.
Highfantasy is a total conversation of Dwarf Fortress that seeks to completely expand the scope of the game, incorporating elements of Tolkien-esque – and more modern – high fantasy, while remaining true to the vision of vanilla Dwarf Fortress. It’s balanced and bug-free, with each feature is designed to play well with every other feature. This mod is not in development – it is complete, and there are no more features planned! This might be the only modpack on the proverbial market that is going to remove features over time, rather than add them. Finally, HighFantasy is completely standalone. You should install it on a fresh download of dwarf fortress with no Lazy Newb Pack, no other mods, and most importantly, no DFHACK. This also means the mod can be updated to new versions of D.F. almost instantly!
Highfantasy focuses on 4 additions:
-More consistent general gameplay
-14 unique, balanced, different-feeling civilizations with special features
-Better endgame rewards through vertical progression
-New, balanced systems that D.F. hasn’t reached yet – magic, siege machines, and more

I'm going to use the Patreon to collect funds to allocate time in my life to do the coding work required to write the thousands of hooks for graphics in the steam premium release, so you can keep playing Highfantasy on the best and brightest version of Dwarf Fortress.
I won't be using the funds for any other purpose and won't be accessing them until DF Premium releases and I can start coding.
The funds are not for making graphics! They are for making graphical hooks in the code, and any other needed code updates for the raws in Premium.
