I founded killapenguin.com in March 2012 out of a desire to write bizarre game reviews. In truth, they were hardly reviews at all when I started out because of how amateurish they were, but the more I wrote, the more I felt compelled to take the whole thing seriously. Now that I'm closing in on 300 reviews, I'm at a point where my average review length is ~1500-2000 words, though there are also some rare 6000-8000 word reviews. Needless to say, I like going in-depth enough to explain my reasoning behind why I like or dislike various game elements, which in theory makes it easier for readers to get a feel for what it's like to actually play each game.

This is my attempt at getting some money to help cover my costs. I'm keeping my expectations low because, again, my site is a one-man operation in an industry filled with juggernauts, but it's definitely preferable to receive small contributions from fans instead of plastering a ton of ads and paid posts everywhere on my site.

No one clicks on ads. No one likes ads. Still, I thought my two Adsense blocks were a good idea at the time. At 200 dollars, I'll invite Adsense to dinner and spike its drink with poison, removing all traces of it from my website. Good riddance.
