You will also get an invitation to a private Google Community playtest group for any one of my games in development, of your choice. This grants access to in-development playtest materials, notes, discussions, and a peek at my insanity.
Current playtest communities are for The Ward and Princess World, with more to come.
I worked really hard at it and it became a reality: a book I could hold in my hands, a game that other people were excited to play! I was extremely happy; but, much to my horror, I’d let the game design genie out of the bottle, and it wouldn’t go back in: more ideas began to bloom in my mind and they needed to get out!
Role-playing and story games are probably my favorite hobby. I’ve loved playing them, running them, and now I’m excited to be creating them!
My first really good idea: The Ward – a game of modern medical drama. This is an Apocalypse World hack where the characters are medical professionals dealing with life, death and stress. It’s currently available as an Acute Care Edition ashcan from Magpie Games. (You can also get the .pdf at DriveThruRPG.)
My current great ideas:
Princess World - a game about girls that rule. My daughter asked me to make this game, so, I am.
SemiGods – legendary heroes balance responsibility and rivalry while deciding who the story is really about.
And there are more where these came from!
When I’m not making up fantastical worlds, I’m a stay-at-home dad, which is its own kind of fantastical world; your patronage will help me to balance both worlds. Due to the real life constraints of juggling two kids (with help!) my output level varies considerably; subscription based patronage grants me some stability that my life may not.
Thank you again!
P.S. You may know me as “Chroma” on some forums. Yes, that’s me.
P.P.S. If you'd like to just buy some of my games, without the commitment, you can find most of them here: https://kpetker.itch.io/
P.P.P.S. I also put out a little Lasers & Feelings hack called Magic & Mischief. You can find it free on DriveThruRPG.
Anything not used for travel would go to support other Creators and to pay people to help get my games to print.
