Keith R.A. DeCandido is creating words (probably interesting ones)

patrons

This is a venue for both fiction and nonfiction by Keith R.A. DeCandido (that's me).

The former will include excerpts from my fiction in progress, as well as new vignettes featuring my original characters (from the Dragon Precinct, Super City Cops, Bram Gold, Cassie Zukav, and Shirley Holmes & Jack Watson milieus). Those vignettes will be exclusive to patrons.

The latter will include reviews of TV shows (once a week) and movies (once a month).

Plus there'll be other fun stuff like cat photos, stuff from my trips to conventions (I do at least 15 conventions a year), and other nifty rewards.

Tiers
Babbling about movies
$1 or more per month
A movie review once per month. This could be a theatrical release or an older movie I've seen on DVD/Netflix/TV/whatever. Feel free to comment on these reviews, and I will respond to comments.
The Internet is for cat photos!
$2 or more per month
The $1 reward, plus cat photos! At least once a week (and truly more often), you'll get a picture of one or both of our incredibly photogenic black cats, Kaylee and/or Louie.
Babbling about television
$5 or more per month
The $2 reward, plus a television review once per week. This could be a show currently on the air or an older show I've checked out on DVD/Netflix/cable/whatever. (Each month, one of the weekly reviews will be of a randomly picked storyline from any era of Doctor Who .) Feel free to comment on these reviews, and I will respond to comments.
Sneak peek at works in progress
$7 or more per month
The $5 reward, plus a weekly look at whatever my current work in progress is. It could be a new original work, a new tie-in work, a short story, a comic book script, or any number of other things, but you'll get to see a preview of it before anyone else.
Character vignettes!
$10 or more per month
The $7 reward, plus once a month you'll get an exclusive vignette featuring my original characters. It could be Torin, Danthres, or other citizens of Cliff's End from the Dragon Precinct tales. It could be Detectives Milewski and Alvarado or other folks from Super City in the Super City Cops stories. It could be Cassie Zukav, weirdness magnet, or any of her fellow Key West denizens from that series of urban fantasy stories. It could be Bram Gold, star of my upcoming urban fantasy series starting with A Furnace Sealed. It could be Shirley Holmes and Jack Watson.
First look at first draft
$20 or more per month
The $10 reward, plus every time I finish a chapter or section of a longer work, or finish a shorter work, you will get a first look at the first draft (assuming the work in question isn't under a non-disclosure agreement). You can even make editorial comments if you want!
Convention buddy!
$25 or more per month
The $20 reward plus you get to virtually attend conventions with me! Every time I go to a convention (and I go to at least 15 a year, from large shows like Dragon Con and New York Comic Con to small regional ones with only a few hundred attendees, and everything in between), you'll get live video of me from the show, plus audio of one or more of my panels.
Goals
17% complete
If I reach this goal, everyone who pledges will get a special treat.
