About KuKooLaLa Cafe

KuKooLaLa is a community cafe located in the heart of Leyton Jubilee Park (E10, London). It is run by Joy Watkins, and the space is the only venue in the local area to provide a free and open community space for residents to meet and mingle, for children to enjoy, and for local community events and activities.

Families and residents have benefitted hugely from all that KuKooLaLa does for the community - from weekly rhymetime sessions to breastfeeding classes to being part of the council's Community Toilet Scheme, a drop-off point for Tommy's Kitchen who feed the homeless, organising seasonal events and activities for the community and simply by offering affordable and healthy food, KuKooLaLa is a safe space for everyone in the community.

However, given the recent restrictions in response to the Covid-19 outbreak, KuKooLaLa, like any community venue, space, or project, is going to struggle financially. This Patreon page has been set up to enable anyone who is both able and willing to support the cafe so that we can ensure it is in as strong a position as possible to continue being a real hub for the community during and after this current crisis.

We understand that not everyone is able to support in these challenging times, but we are asking those who can and are able to, to consider becoming a patron of KuKooLaLa, so that KuKooLaLa can continue to offer its services and spaces to those who are more in need. You can adjust the amount to whatever feels realistic for you, there is no minimum or maximum amount.

Help us by becoming one of our patrons and support KuKooLaLa and all who benefit from the community cafe!
