A Goddamn Mini-Comic
$500 per month
I will draw a mini-comic just for my Patreon backers and I'll let you dudes decide the subject matter.  We'll do a vote or a poll or something.  It'll be great and just for you, whom I will share for free.  For like, a month, then I will sell it along with my other mini-comics or whatever.
A Goddamn Webcomic
$1,000 per month
For as long as we stay at this level I will start a monthly webcomic that will ostensibly be like Abbott and Costello Meet The Post-Apocalyptic Earth.  I will hook all you dudes up with early pages, extra art stuff, you know the whole Patreon Webcomic backer deal.  Help me make more things…for you.  I kiss your face.

My name is Kyle Starks and I'm most notably known for Image Comics Sexcastle and beloved wrestling graphic novel The Legend of Ricky Thunder.  I even drew a Galactus Deadpool card for Marvel's Unbeatable Squirrel Girl.

I make a bunch of comics, guys.

I love making comics so much.

So here's the thing:  Unfortunately I am losing the day job that has supported my wife and two beautiful daughters for the last ten years.  Due to some small success with Image Comics and Kickstarter I've decided if there was ever a time to go pro, the time is now.

But I'm not real certain I can do it alone.  Comics are tough, hard, grueling work and the payoff for most involved is pretty minimal.  Notably, there's no insurance, there's no retirement plan and we all have mortgages to pay.

I have three books I want to do and I feel like now's the time, the window is open and I have the slimmest chance of sliding my way into this bonkers career.  Right this minute I'm 40 pages into a book whose working title is Kill Them All.

So here's what I'm offering.  An insight into an independent comic makers process.  I'll share pages, process pages, character design, I do a lot of random theme draw-draw nights and Open Question draw responses and my generous backers will get first dibs on that stuff.   Eventually we'll get a sweet Google Hangout Draw Show or something pretty cool.

Every little bit helps - and at stretch goals I'll do like…a new mini-comic that you dudes can decide on maybe.  And maybe I'll draw some dogs or something. We'll come up with some cool stuff - postcards, stickers, uh, t-shirts, uh…a duck?  Why not, maybe everyone gets a duck*

If you wanted to see someone try, or if you just wanted to help make a wild dream come true - what's a dollar, right?  I'll make that dollar a month go a long way, I promise.
