We are bush regenerators that live off-grid on the side of Mount Cainbable, Qld, Australia.

Our aim is to clear the weeds and invasive species across our 50 acres of remnant dry grassland forest and to re plant and regeneate the native species that  are indigenous to the area.

When we first acquired our 50 acre property in the Gold Coast Hinterland we knew that we had a big job ahead of us.

Through neglect and bad weather, the property had suffered significant damage and had been badly infested with weeds and exotic species.

We are asking for your help so that we can restore this land to its original landscape.

This is vitally important as we are breeding grounds for  Koalas, Red-necked wallabies and Pretty-faced wallabies. We also have 100s of other native species that live acroos the property and more than 60 native bird species that visit.

The money raised here at Patreon will be used to fund our bush regeneration programme.

Money will be used to purchase native plants, trees and grasses. Also mulch, additional soil and tools.

Thank you for taking the time to read about our project. There is more and recent information in the posts.

600 Area sponsor
$2 or more per month

Choose this tier to sponsor area - 600.

The area we call "600" is a large washout area below the road that destroyed a huge chunk of forest.

The week after the cyclone we re-planted the area with over 600 plants and trees.  And thus the name was born.

Two years post cyclone, the area has started to recover, but the last year of drought-like conditions have not helped.

600 is planted with:

Indigenous gums - Narrow-leaved Ironbarks, Brown Bloodwood and more.

Dry Rainforest trees - Native Hibiscus, Native Frangipani, Bleeding Hearts and more

Understory plants and grasses - Lomandras, Blue Flax Lilys and more.

Sponsorship of this area will ensure that we can continue to repair this area.  It will need further plantings, some large mulch application and anti-erosion treatments.

We have 50 acres of remnant dry grassland forest across the property that we are clearing of weeds and exotic plants.  We are also repairing erosion damage and putting in place anti-erosion treatments to help protect the re-generated areas.

To achieve this takes time and money and a fair bit of sweat and on occasions a little blood, but we are happy to do it.

Sponsorship of our efforts will ensure that we can continue to repair our property and maintain it as a nature refuge.  Funds raised here will be used equipment and consumables used in clearing Lantana, Crofton Weed, Mist Flower and Mother of Millions from the forest areas

Help us repair this stunning forest by sponsoring our bush regeneration efforts.

Water Supporter
$10 or more per month

Supporting our Water costs during drought.

Help support us by assisting in our water transport costs.  Water is vital to us here at the Native Nursery and as part of our bush regeneration efforts.

We currently have approximately 200 trees waiting to go into the ground.  We have been unable to plant these trees due to the severe lack of rain.

Consequently we must support and care for these trees in our nursery area until such time that sufficient rain arrives and we can get back to planting.

Since January we have carted in over 33,000 liters of water, and there is no rain in sight.

Water costs us approximately $10 per 1000 litres.  That may sound cheap but it quickly adds up.

If you can support us with $10.00 per month, we will put that assistance towards water acquisition and transport.

Right now with little water in all our tanks..  this support is vital

Mulch Supporter
$10 or more per month

Supporting our Mulch transport costs.

Help us by assisting in our Mulch transport costs.   Mulch  is vital to us here at the Native Nursery and as part of our bush regeneration efforts.  Without Mulch and Water we simply  could not do what we do.

We use 10's of cubic metres of mulch every year, and are need and use is ongoing into the future.

This is why we need your help to keep the Mulch flowing,  Mulch we normally can acquire for free, but the transport is always a burden on us.

Mulch is vital as it forms the protective layer above every plant that we grow, propagate or plant.  It is even part of our soil mix for planting out and seed propagation.
