I started LARK Lexington Area Reuse Konnection to grow the upcycling community in Lexington.  Placing value in items we commonly throw away is an important component to saving the planet.  Recycling is good but it takes a great deal of time, energy, water and human power in the process.  Upcycling takes much less of those resources, unless you've got a huge project the time and your human power might be a labor of love, but also a great green hobby that impresses your friends and can be sold for a great deal of money.

I started MESO, My Earth Savings Org. as I see relocating our stuff that we all have and don't use as the greatest tool in the reuse toolbox.  By trading everything with Earth Credits we'll be able to keep adding more direct action ways that our community members can earn Earth Credits.  Such as writing poems and songs about the environment, getting rid of telephone book delivery (the number 1 item in the landfill), getting an energy audit etc.

To promote Reuse we are working on creating a Reuse podcast!

I write original (mostly Americana)  songs and would like to get an album out.  I've helped Mandy Ray winner of the Lexi Award for Best Singer turn a poem into an awesome song.  Hit me up if you ever need to put you words to a melody!

Dance has always been another passion of mine and I realize people don't have enough outlets for this.  I started a community on meetup that is devoted to movement and flow arts.   Members come out and we all rotate the type of dance music we play and anyone can bring their flow arts props.  We play fractals on the projection or  the hilarious spoofs on youtube of popular songs.  There is no curfew at the makerspace so we do flow raves sometimes past 2am on the weekends.

This module is designed for senior managers of reuse enterprises (non-profit and for-profit) as well as unaffiliated individuals who are looking to start a reuse operation. The technical assistance provided not only improves individual skills in strategic thinking, marketing, and project development, it can also improve the effectiveness of the participant’s organization by allowing them to take the skills gained from the program to help train staff and volunteers. - See more at: http://www.reuseconex.org/more-training#sthash.1AzmDdFE.dpuf
