The last thing anyone needs is more online fitness content right now.
I'm making some anyway because I love talking about push ups and because there are some gaps in the available programs that leave many people behind.
The fitness industry is a tire fire fueled by insecurity. Results are defined by "before" and "after" photos insisting that your body should be more like someone else's. I believe that there are reasons to exercise that go beyond "losing weight" or "getting shredded" and that exercise is a joyful way to use our bodies, not a punishment for their unruly behavior.
My goal is to provide flexible workouts as well as information to help people adjust the exercises to fit their fitness level. I want to counter fatphobia and abelism in the industry with body-positive coaching and accessible workouts. All of my workout videos are fully captioned by hand, no incomprehensible auto-captions. I also offer open ended "office hours" and workout planning / customization to help people reach specific goals they may have.
I am a NASM certified personal trainer as well as a group fitness instructor for Spinning® , Les Mills BODYPUMP™, and TRX classes. Growing up I avoided gym class at all costs and shambled my way to a 20 minute mile for the Presidential Fitness Test. Only as an adult well into my twenties did I start working out, and discovered I actually enjoy running on my own terms. I am also an enthusiastic, if not particularly graceful, amateur aerialist.
