The spirit of martial arts is beautiful, and in it exists a technical art that most of the audience don't appreciate. The reason I create content is so that the world can see the same beauty in this warrior art form.
Now, this might make some people think I'm rolling around in YouTube ad revenue, but if that is what I relied on, then I would be starving. In fact, the Patreon pledge $ amount that you see on the left hand screen right now (150$) is not far off my 2018 January ad revenue.
If you've been following me for a long time, I assume you've noticed that I've slowed down in production. In 2017, I made 9 videos. In the first half of 2018, I made 1 video. This was in part due to having dehabilitating injuries that required me to step away from the computer. Once I sorted that out, I wanted to work on projects behind the scenes, some of which have bettered the lives of the very heroes I feature.
I don't create analysis and feature athletes for money. But... getting paid for my efforts on YouTube would be quite nice and it will help make it more sustainable. Since late June, I've published 6 videos, some of which are my highest quality content yet. If you have found my work valuable, and you would like to help make my YouTube creations consistent and more frequent, this is how you can help.
When my YouTube studies itself are sustainable, I'll be pulled into other directions much less. The more support I receive, the greater my content output can be.
But that's not all, check out some of the perks you will receive in the pledge tiers. If we hit the pledge goal, I'll regularly invite elite athletes and coaches to answer questions.
